Their oath crumbles when the Princess of France and her ladies arrive, sparking romantic entanglements. Through disguises, mistaken identities, and witty wordplay, the men pursue the women—only to face an unconventional ending when sudden news forces the ladies to demand a year's proof of devotion before any weddings can proceed.
